Portland, Oregon — February 1, 2018
Metro, the regional government serving Portland that tracks growth trends (used to help plan the area’s future land use strategies), projects big things for the Rose City and its environs.
Specifically, Metro forecasts that the region will host 3.5 million people by 2060, up from 2.4 million today.
Intuitively, all those new people will need places to live. Many will also work for businesses that need buildings in which to work.
